My name is LaDene Hayes and I am the author of The Continuing Saga of Rikki Tikki Tavi. I was born in Asheboro, NC on Dec 22, 1951 and now reside in High Point, NC with my husband, Glendon Wiggins. I am the second of seven children.
I first "met" Rikki Tikk Tavi in the 4th grade as required reading and never forgot the fearless mongoose that killed two king cobras to protect his family. The original book is by Rudyard Kipling or you may choose to watch Chuck Jones 30 minute animated cartoon to let you know why my book is called The Continuing Saga of Rikki Tikki Tavi.
I am a USMC veteran and spent six years servicing my country in Norfolk, VA and then moved to Falls Church, VA when my tour ended. I lived in the Washington DC area for 20 yrs before moving back to NC upon the death of my sister. I lived in Greensboro, NC for another 20 yrs and began writing my books in 2007. I have an Associates Degree in Medical transcription (minor office machines) from GTCC; Associates Degree in Automotive Technology (major diagnostic, minor tune-ups) from NOVA, General Business Diploma from Asheboro Commercial College (now defunct), high school diploma from Asheboro High School, Concealed Carry Weapon permit, Notary Public and motorcycle endorsement.
I have one son who has two children and my husband has three children, two grands and a great grand that I inherited upon marriage. I currently have two books published and working on #3 until Yah brings it to an end. My website is deevinecorner.synthasite.com if you care to visit. The website has not been updated but you may order from Amazon or Barnes & Nobles or directly from me for an autographed copy of both books for $20 or one book for $12. Postage is on me as long as you send an address and the name you want the book autographed to.
Please leave a review and spread the word as it would be greatly appreciated. My contact info is deevinewiggins@yahoo.com. Please put Rikki Tikki in the subject line so I won't delete unknown mail.
After 72 yrs on the earth, I am proud to say that I have finally found a place my home of worship going on two years at 7th Day Harvest under the leadership of Pastors Anthony and Patricia Douglas.
Scriptures: Matthew 7:7 KJV
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Philippians 4:11–1312 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

"After reading The Continuing Saga of Rikki Tikki Tavi, I found the story to be intriguing and enjoyable. The writer captured my imagination with every line. The writer's heart-felt emotions illuminated and came through clearly from start to finish. My personal thought is that this time is one of those stories you will want to read over and over again. This book will definitely enlighten both parents and child alike as the story is being read. The Continuing Saga of Rikki Tikki Tavi will certainly be passed down for other family members to read and enjoy." - Bishop J. Gardner, Jr., The Christian Life Center of Greensboro
